Character Dining at WDW

Dine with your Favorite Characters.

These are the meals most worth splurging on because it is entertainment, too!

All of the character dining experiences are at Table Service restaurants, so they can be more pricey. The old saying, “You get what you pay for” really applies here though because dining with characters is one of the best way to get up close and personal time with your favorite Disney pals!

Character dining experiences are not just for kids. So many adults love the luxury of visiting and taking pictures with characters without the hassle of waiting in lines.

Here is a comprehensive list of all of the Character Dining options broken down by park and resort for an easy reference guide! My favorites are at the top as well! I will break down each restaurant soon, so stay tuned!

My Favorites

Cinderella's Royal Table
My favorite thing about this one is that you pay in advance, so when you get there, you receive the royal treatment! This is a chance to get actual time with five visiting princesses, and the food is amazing! I highly recommend The Clock Strikes Midnight dessert. A big bonus if you visit Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before and let your princess get transformed by the Fairy Godmother! (Separate reservation required - contact me for more info!)
Tusker House
I love this restaurant because it is so different from the rest of the parks. It has African flavors, but it is also perfect for picky eaters because of the variety. Everything we had in our meal was lovely, including drinks. The dessert was absolutely stunning, but it was just okay, so don't worry about saving as much room for dessert! Seeing the characters in safari outfits, rather than traditional, is a nice touch as well. Highly recommend!
'Ohana
I did not know I loved Polynesian food until I had it here! The atmosphere adds a lot to this meal, so it feels even more authentic. Everything we ate was delectable, and the entertainment is so fun! They let the kids get up and dance and make it super special. I have only been at dinner, but I expect breakfast is just as exciting because Lilo and Stitch are there to join in on the fun! DO NOT MISS THE BREAD PUDDING!
Topolino's Terrace
The Riviera Resort is my favorite resort at WDW, and this restaurant compliments it so well. Flavors of the Riviera is the perfect name because it features beautiful Italian and French options, and every single appetizer, entree, and dessert was delightful. You can also go out to the terrace and overlook EPCOT, and you can even see the fireworks at night! This is a wonderful experience from food quality to atmosphere, and I will always dine here. Breakfast is the sweet spot for the characters, and you won't find a better breakfast on property!

Magic Kingdom

Cinderella’s Royal Table is the most expensive, but it is worth every penny for your little princess to meet her princesses! This is truly an enchanting experience, and it is particularly complimented by a visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get your little princess transformed into a real princess before the meal! Cinderella loves to see her visiting princess all dressed up! If Winnie the Pooh is your thing, seeing all the friends together for this buffet meal is a great experience, and the food is great!

EPCOT

Akershus is another enchanting experience filled with princesses, and it is an All You Care to Enjoy, so you get a lot of food for the price! Little girls will love this option, and parents will love the food (and beverage) options! Garden Grill is also a big hit at EPCOT because you get some flavorful, heavy food with the excitement of our mischevious friends with hugs a plenty! The restaurant spins slowly, showing you scenes familiar to Living with the Land! This is a really neat experience for all ages.

Hollywood Studios

There is only one character dining option in Hollywood Studios, but it is fun! This is the only dining with the Disney Junior Pals, and I will say the breakfast is pretty good, but nothing special, so you are paying for the experience most of all. They do a lot of dancing and interacting with guests, so this is a great option for littles. The dinner selection is actually really good and a good opportunity to see the main characters in the Disney story!

Hollywood & Vine
American Buffet Style offerings including well-seasoned meats, seafood, fresh vegetables, and more!

Animal Kingdom

Tusker House is the only character dining at Animal Kingdom, but this one is so, so good! The food is all seasoned eccentrically and delicious, and there are so many options. Your tummy will stop before you do because it is so good! Fill up on food because the dessert is gorgeous, but it is just okay! This is a great time to see your favorite characters in their safari best!

Resorts

The WDW Resorts are known for being luxurious, but one of the main reasons I make a trip over there is to dine at the divine selection of restaurants! 1900 Park Fare is a tasty buffet, and Cape May Cafe is filled with fresh and delicious seafood! Chef Mickey’s is a kids’ favorite and reminds you of Walt, and ‘Ohana really makes you feel like family with the best quality Polynesian food I have ever had! Artist Point is a whole new experience, perfectly themed to Snow White – pay attention to the drink options here! Topolino’s Terrace is second to none in atmopshere and food quality. Every single person loved every morsel of food on their plates!
