This is your official guide to the parks including wait times, show times, and most importantly, your map.
You can request a virtual line return time so you can explore while you “stand in line.” The app will alert you at 5 minutes when it is time to go back to the attraction.
There is an itinerary feature so you can plan your day based on your preferences.
Even when you are not in the park, the app can keep you up to date on what is going on in the parks, so you will never feel disconnected!
To maximize the effectiveness of the app, create an account. You can easily do this from the app or from the Universal Orlando Studios website. I think it is easier to do it from the app, but click below if you would rather do it on a browser.
It is difficult to navigate the parks without the app, so make sure you play around in it before you go so you will be familiar with functionality.
Connect to Free Wi-Fi!
While at the theme parks or CityWalk, Universal gives you access to free Wi-Fi! Simply open settings on your phone, and search for available Wi-Fi. Choose "Universal," and follow the steps to connect!
Navigating the App
There will be the newest or most popular information in a slider at the top, and this is useful to keep up with news in the parks. You will see several featured items throughout the home tab.
See Wait Times for the current day, sorted by category.
Buy Tickets of all types, including extras and special ticket types.
Access the Map from the Home Screen.
Order Food & Drinks: This is where you mobile order food from restaurants at the parks. Select the restaurant you want to order from, and follow the steps to order. It will also give you wait times on how long the food will take. This is also where you view current orders.
Shows is where you can see showtimes for the day, and it gives you a map to see where the shows are located. The shows will display by category, making it easy to plan your day!
Park Hours: You will see park hours for both theme parks, CityWalk, and Volcano Bay. They also display blockout dates, which make planning a lot easier!
You will see suggested “Things to Do,” and Special Offers.
Helpful Tools gives information about mobile ordering, Universal Pay, Uber Zone, and the ability to chat with a Universal team member if you need further assistance.
This tab on the bottom menu has a map of the entire park.
You can filter by rides, shows, dining, and shopping quickly from the top toolbar. There is also a spot that tells you where the restrooms are and also where YOU are currently standing.
You can search specifically for a destination in the lower right hand corner with the magnifying glass.
There are many categories to filter by, and Universal makes finding your desired location super easy!
You have the option to buy Tickets, Express Passes, and Extras, like Halloween Horror Nights, etc!
Manage Account: Keep your personal information updated.
Wallet: You can scan your tickets to keep them accessible here. You can also add a payment method for faster purchasing through the app. This is also where you connect your payment for the TapuTapu wearable band at Volcano Bay.
Favorites: You can add favorites from the app to keep up with the activities you do not want to miss, and they will show up here, organized for your day. Just add a heart to the attractions you can’t miss!
Alerts: This is where you will be notified of your virtual queue return times, mobile orders, reservations, and also special news right from the parks!
Dining Reservations: View upcoming and past reservations here to stay up to date. You can also edit them here or cancel them.
Parking Reminder: Set up a reminder so you will not lose your vehicle in all the tiredness of the night after the best day ever!
Blockout Dates: Universal provides blackout dates for the parks here so you do not get messed up on scheduling.
Chat with Universal: Get help from a team member from the comfort of your fingertips!
Complete Account Set Up: You can add passes, payment method, and any other experiences right here!
Wait Time Alerts: Set up alerts to know when your wait time reaches five minutes or right before a show starts so you do not miss a window to experience that attraction you have been dreaming of!
*You have to be on property to reserve a virtual line reservation.
- Select “Virtual Line” and find the attraction you are wanting to join.
- Select the same day you are in the parks.
- Select group size (up to 10 people)
- Hang out until your reservation time!
New reservation times open up throughout the day, so do not forget to check back!
Also, remember Express Pass users get first choice at virtual line reservations, so be patient with it if you did not purchase one. You will get an instant alert if your time is adjusted.
