Magic Kingdom Attractions

The Most Family Friendly.

Thrills rides, kid-friendly rides, boat rides, and stellar entertainment.

My Favorites

Enchanted Tales with Belle
This is such an underrated attraction, but it is the most immersive way to spend time with a princess! Belle is very interactive, especially with the kids, and you get an inside look into her cottage, library, and castle while reenacting the story of Beauty and the Beast! You even get a PhotoPass card with all your memories!
The Hall of Presidents
This one gets me all in my feels because I have a huge sense of patriotism, and this one tells the story of this great nation! You will experience historical videos and then be greeted by wax figures of all of the Presidents that truly feel like they are coming to life, with a speech from the current President at the end!
Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid
Ariel is my favorite princess, so this one is nostalgic for me, and it tells the story of The Little Mermaid with fun songs and an incredible Ursula display! It is an omnimover attraction, so it is good for any and everyone!
Space Mountain
I love this dark coaster because it is just fun! It does not go backwards or upside down or have huge drops, but it is fast and thrilling, and I think it is a good starting point for people who like roller coasters but need a little break from the intensity.
Jungle Cruise
This one is just silly and full of dad jokes, but the delivery is super fun! Don't be too cool for it and just enjoy it! It is fun when the kids think the animals are real, too, and it is a fun boat ride for the whole family!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
I love how long this one is! It is pretty simple and can be a bit jerky, but it is a lot of fun, and it is entertaining. I think young kids like it a lot as well because it feels like a train.

Main Street

This is the first thing you see when you walk into Magic Kingdom. Main Street is inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown in Marceline, Missouri. It is mostly shops and treats, but it does have a couple attractions! The Main Street Vehicles are not always running, so you just need to ask a Cast Member. The train has several stations as well, so you do not have to catch it on Main Street!

Fantasyland

Fantasyland is inspired by all of your classic fairytale films, and there is a big emphasis on the princesses in this land! My daughter calls it a princess neighborhood because Cinderella’s Castle, Beast’s Castle, and Rapunzel’s Tower are all visible! Enchanted Tales with Belle is a hidden gem and the most immersive attraction with a princess. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a silly story starring Donald. The Mad Tea Party is a quick and simple ride where you can choose your spin speed – not for people who get easily dizzy! Peter Pan’s Flight is incredibly popular, but it is a short dark ride. Winnie the Pooh is cute and has a fun queue for littles! It’s a Small World is a classic, and the nostalgia is there, but I usually use it as a place to relax my feet in the AC! The Carousel is any other carousel, and Princess Fairytale Hall and Ariel’s Grotto are princess meet and greets. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is fun, but it is super quick, and Under the Sea is a slow dark ride that tells Ariel’s story! Fantasyland is perfect for younger kids and the most nostalgic!

Storybook Circus

Originally inspired by the classic Disney animated film, Dumbo, you will feel like you are at the circus! There are bright colors everywhere and animals galore! This land is still, technically, in Fantasyland, but it feels like a whole new land! The Barnstormer is a kiddie roller coaster, but it is a lot of fun! Dumbo is an aerial-carousel, and Casey Jr. is a water play area for kids. Skip this land if you do not have littles with you, but if you do, spend some time relaxing and watching them have a blast!

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is known as the “Future That Never Was.” Walt Disney loved progress, and he loved the idea of better innovativeness for tomorrow. This futuristic land is home to some very popular attractions that are out of this world! Tron is the brand new roller coaster, and it is outdoor/indoor ride while in motorcycle position. What a fun, new way to ride! Space Mountain is a completely dark coaster, but it is pretty tame. Buzz Lightyear is a competitive shooting game fun for all ages, and Monsters Inc is a show that is sure to bring laughs! The Astro Orbiter is an aerial-carousel, but you can see the whole park, and the People Mover is a quick monorail type ride around the parks to relax. Tomorrowland Speedway is your typical go-kart race, and Carousel of Progress is a classic show created by Walt Disney himself! Tomorrowland has plenty for everyone!

Adventureland

Adventureland is themed for some of the iconic films full of adventure! From treasure maps to pirate adventures, there is plenty to do to explore and seize the adventure in this exciting land! Jungle Cruise is a fan favorite boat ride with corny jokes that hit the spot! Pirates of the Caribbean is a dark boat ride, and you can get a little wet. Magic Carpets is a simple aerial-carousel, and the Tiki Room is a quick show. The Swiss Family Treehouse is just a walk through attraction, but the kids will love it!

Frontierland

The Davy Crockett films made by Walt Disney inspired this western land! It has an old western feel as you walk down the street past shops and even an arcade. Get ready to draw! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad can get a bit jerky, but it is super fun and longer than some coasters! The Country Bear Jamboree is a show, but I find it really creepy. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain, and you will definitely see awesome scenes but get wet in the drop! Tom Sawyer Island is another walk through for kids.

Liberty Square

Liberty Square elicits strong patriotic vibes for those of us who have an affinity for history. Walt Disney imagined this land so perfectly, down to the way he positioned bathrooms. You will feel like you are back in time when America was just beginning. My favorite is Hall of Presidents because it is a reminder of the patriotism in our beautiful country. Haunted Mansion is a dark ride with a mix of silly and scary, and it is phenomenal! The Riverboat is a long boat ride, and you can see a lot of the parks from the water, but there is not much to it.
