Disney Wish

Luxury. Relaxation. Enchantment.

Each ship, built with families in mind, brings it’s own style, leaving room for adult only tranquility.

All ships in the Disney Cruise Fleet have a special story, and the Disney Wish is no different. The story of the Disney Wish is “A Wish Come True,” and Cinderella is the star of the show. It incorporates characters from Frozen, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar favorites. The dining experiences are rotational dining style, and they include Arendelle, Marvel Studios, and 1923 – a journey through Disney animation. The staterooms on the Disney Wish are larger than previous ships, and they have immense storage. The shows onboard include Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Seas the Adventure. Check it out with me! Do not miss the “Kiss Goodnight!”

Dining Experiences Onboard

Rotational Dining
A special treat from Disney Cruise Line meaning you will eat in a different restaurant each night (included in the cost of your cruise), but your servers will rotate with you to each restaurant! The service team will remember your preferences, be mindful of allergies, and even cut up food for your little ones! This is special because they become like family as they learn to anticipate your needs and stay one step ahead throughout your dining experiences so you won’t miss one bit of the magic!

Main Dining Restaurants

Included in Rotational Dining Experience
Arendelle

This restaurant is like walking into the dining hall in the palace of Arendelle! This is dinner, and a show, and you are sure to see characters, such as, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Oaken, and special citizens of Arendelle! The story is that Queen Anna and Kristoff are celebrating their engagement, and you are invited to the party as their royal guest! You will get to hear songs from the movie, performed live, and all of the characters come around to meet each person. The food is Norwegian cuisine, and your servers will be following you to this meal to ensure you have the best experience!

Included in Rotational Dining Experience
Worlds of Marvel

This restaurant incorporates a whole story featuring Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is called “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” and you get to see how the Avengers use technology to save the world! There is a “Quantum Core” that guests can interact with during the show that shrinks and grows objects. The walls of this restaurant are all screens, so you get the full experience, no matter where you are sitting. Spider-Man comes to the table to meet every guest. The menu is American style with some African choices as well.

Included in Rotational Dining Experience
1923

The restaurant has that Old Hollywood style, and all of the theming represents that time. There are two sides to the restaurant – one is Roy Disney, and the other is Walt Disney. They are the same restaurant, just a few separate nods to each legendary fellow! You will be assigned to a dining room based on your stateroom. The Walt Disney Studios was founded in 1923, hence the name. All around the walls, you will see storyboards, sketches, and memorabilia from all of your favorite Disney films! These are authentic, beautiful, and heart stopping. Every dish, glass, and napkin is glamourous, and the menu was created with the State of California in mind.

Specialty Dining Experiences

Palo Steakhouse, Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line

Palo Steakhouse

This adults only, specialty dining experience is themed after Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast. The cuisine boasts delicious steaks and a fabulous Italian selection. There are two dining areas that give ocean views or offer a cozy booth to enjoy with a partner. The food is delicious and worth the extra cost! (This restaurant is not included in the cruise fare and will require separate payment). I like to think of this one as having a masculine glamour that reminds me of Beast's castle!

Enchanted Tales with Belle, Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

Enchanté

This adults only, specialty dining experience is themed after Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. The chef, Arnaud Lallement, has 3 Michelin stars, so you know the food is good! This one offers ocean views, and cuisine is French-inspired. (This restaurant is not included in the cruise fare and will require separate payment).

Marceline Market
Named after Walt Disney's childhood town, this a buffet, located on Deck 11. Has buffet style food stations, including seafood. Open daily., but only open for dinner on select nights, so check your navigator app! Includes seafood, carving station, and more!
Festival of Foods
Located on Deck 11 by the pools. It has 5 different buffet style food stations. Open daily, but only open for dinner on select nights, so check your navigator app! Includes Mickey's Smokestack Barbecue, Donald's Cantina, Daisy's Pizza Pies, Goofy's Grill, and Sweet Minnie's Ice cream.
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets
A special sweet shop themed after your favorite emotions! They have all sorts of candy, sweets, pastries, and more. This is an extra expense, but it is worth the trip just to see all of the decor! Located on Deck 11.
Wishing Star Café & Enchanted Sword Café
A café serving lattes and other coffees. Ask for a Disney design in your foam! The Wishing Star is on Deck 4, and The Enchanted Sword is on Deck 5, but they serve the same things.
Cove Cafe
A café serving lattes and other coffees for adults only
24 Hour Room Service
Remember, there is also included 24-hour room service. There tends to be a $5 service charge on the bill for this, and you are able to tip as well. The menus are on the app and in the stateroom desk drawer.

Entertainment

Walt Disney Theatre
The theatre is themed after Fantasia, so you will see an enchanted forest, including florals and whimsical nods to the film in the walls, seats, and decorative pieces. Entrance to main theatre is on Deck 3, and balcony seating has an entrance on Deck 4. Seats 1,274 people, and there is some sort of show each night of the sailing. There are refreshments available outside the entrance (you do have to pay for popcorn). The shows you see here are specifically original creations for the cruise ship! Check out the shows on the Wish below!
The Little Mermaid

This version of the show was adapted for the Disney Wish. It is a different take on the films they have made. There is a lot of diversity in the casting, and the story is a little bit different. The sets are beautiful, but the costumes are more of a grunge look, rather than a fairytale princess. The animals are puppets, but they are very well done. Some of the songs have a few added lyrics, but most of the music mirrors the original film. It has a lot of the girl power moments from the new live-action film.

Disney Seas the Adventure

Minnie is the captain of the ship, but Goofy takes it over, and of course, chaos ensues. You get to see and hear songs from all sorts of Disney characters, including Elsa, Anna, Hercules, Aladdin, Tiana, Merida, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Daisy, Donald, Mickey, Belle, Moana, Mulan, and more! This was my favorite story!

Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular

This one follows the animated film pretty well, as far as the story goes, but the Genie incorporates a lot of other Disney movie references, and he is basically a comedian the whole time! It is so funny. Iago is also hilarious, and it is played by a person, not a puppet. All of the costumes and sets have a glamorous feel, and it is a true joy to watch. It even has a few new songs!

AquaMouse
A water coaster that takes you over the side of the ship in a fun filled Mickey Mouse adventure! It starts with a show, then you ride in a two person float through clear tubes and dark tubes. Height requirement: 42". Located on Deck 13.
Disney Uncharted Adventure
The Wishing Star is attacked by evil, so Captain Minnie recruits guests to help her find the Star's powers! You use your phone to "scan" the sky, and it interacts with you for a little magic experience!
Pools
The Upper Deck hosts 10 pools and water play areas. There is a Toy Story Splash Zone and Mickey and friends inspired pools. The Adult only pools are on a separate deck.
Hero Zone
Located on Deck 12, you will find Game show competitions and sports competitions for the whole family! There are sports courts, oversized games, playgrounds, and even a movie theater!
Luna Lounge
Live music, comedy shows, and family friendly game shows all happen in this lounge. They serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Find this on Deck 5.
Cinemas
See never before seen movies, as well as classic favorites, in the two screening room style cinemas! Wonderland Cinema (Alice in Wonderland) and Never Land Cinema (Peter Pan). Find them on Deck 4.

Adults Only

Hyperspace Lounge
This is on Deck 3 and has a screen that truly looks like you are viewing other planets like Tatooine, Batuu, and Coruscant! They have Star Wars themed drinks and snacks. Families can enjoy during the day, but it is adults only at night as kids cannot "jump to light speed" with them.
Quiet Cove
This adults only retreat is complete with infinity pool, lounge, and bar all around the pool area! Find the Quiet Cove pool on Deck 13.
Keg and Compass
Keg & Compass is located on Deck 5 and has a Viking decor, and THREE special craft beer options that are only offered on the Disney Wish! This is also a great place to watch sports with all of the TVs accessible for viewing. The whole ceiling is a maritime map, and there are wood carvings inspired by Viking ships. Do not miss the character illustrations as well. This one is worth a peek even if you do not care to get a beverage!
Triton Lounge
Located on Deck 5, featuring karaoke and trivia entertainment options. It is family friendly and has snacks on the menu as well as drinks. This is more of a lounge with bar service.
The Rose
Another adult-only lounge inspired by Beauty and the Beast. There are beautiful antique mirrors and floating roses, and the seating faces an ocean view that is tranquil. This is located on Deck 12 at the entrance to Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté.
Senses Spa
Located on Deck 5 is the most amazing spa you will ever encounter because Disney has so many special touches that make it so amazing. When you book a spa treatment, you will also be able to enjoy the Rainforest, which is an area within the spa that has heated lounges, steam rooms, a sauna, and a calming pool. There is also an outdoor space to unwind in the comfy canopies or relax in the private pools, exclusive to spa goers. They even offer complimentary consultations on non-invasive skin treatments that can be performed onboard.
Untangled Salon
Located on Deck 4 in an open window setting. A lot of the other Disney ships have the salon inside of Senses Spa, but the Disney Wish did it a little different! This is a luxury salon with Rapunzel as the inspiration. Treatments include hairstyling, braiding, nails, blowouts, cuts, and more. Adults can book ahead of time, but under 18 cannot book until boarding the ship.
Hook's Barbery
Men get pampered, too, on the Disney Wish on Deck 4! Enjoy a haircut, shave, styling, nails, and more in Captain Hook's private quarters. DO NOT MISS the hidden bar for adults 21 and older. This is the place for bourbon, whiskey, and rum on the ship.
Nightingale's
This is a fun piano bar on Deck 3 with Cinderella nods. It is named after the song she sings while cleaning the floor that the step sisters try to emulate. Rose gold is the color, and cocktails are the treat! This is a fun space, even if you do not enjoy drinking.
The Bayou
A Tiana inspired lounge that is open to the ship. You will pass right by this on Deck 3, as it is open. You can get New Orleans inspired cocktails as well as beignets! The ceiling is gorgeous with all of the flowers
Beverage Tastings
Let the expert cast members aboard take you on a tasteful journey of sampling liquors and creating mixed cocktails! Tasting options include: Beer, Wine, Champagne, Bourbon, Whiskey, Tequila, Cognac, Martinis, Rum, Mixology. These typically last about an hour, and a tip is appreciated. You must reserve these in advance.
Fitness Center
Enjoy a group fitness class or one on one training with a professional! Also, enjoy the spectacular ocean view as you work on your own on one of their machines. Located on Deck 5, Adults only.

Casinos

No casinos on Disney Cruise Line! Disney is able to provide much more space for kids clubs and more elaborate spaces for adults only, especially on the pool deck. Don’t mind the toe stepping… but I am a huge fan of this upgrade on the Disney ships. Give me more space to play any day!

Prepaid Gratuities

You can prepay your gratuities before you board to continue the theme of being on an all-inclusive vacation. The charge will be $14.50 per guest per day ($15.50 for concierge rooms). This is nice so you do not have to think about it on your vacation.

If you do not do the prepaid gratuity, it will automatically be added to your stateroom bill at the end of the cruise, so it is still easy to get it done without much thought.

You will see small envelopes addressed to each of your servers (Dining room server, Dining room assistant server, Dining room head server, Stateroom host) with their names on the last night of the cruise, so if you prepaid, you will have pre-made notes provided to put in there for them.

If you want to add an additional tip, feel free! My girls also draw pictures for the crew members as a special thank you! I have seen people bring gifts, write cards, etc, so if it moves you, be creative!

18% GRATUITY: If you have to pay an additional fee for a service not included in the cost of the cruise, there is a good chance the gratuities are not already added. Included in this list are: Spa Treatments, Alcoholic Beverages, Souvenirs, and Adult Only Dining not included in the Rotational Dining.
