Casinos
No casinos on Disney Cruise Line! Disney is able to provide much more space for kids clubs and more elaborate spaces for adults only, especially on the pool deck. Don’t mind the toe stepping… but I am a huge fan of this upgrade on the Disney ships. Give me more space to play any day!
Kids Clubs
Small fee required.
3 year olds can also go to Oceaneer Club.
3 year olds can also go to the Nursery.
14 year olds can also go to Vibe.
14 year olds can also go to Edge.
Great for guests under 21
Prepaid Gratuities
You can prepay your gratuities before you board to continue the theme of being on an all-inclusive vacation. The charge will be $14.50 per guest per day ($15.50 for concierge rooms). This is nice so you do not have to think about it on your vacation.
If you do not do the prepaid gratuity, it will automatically be added to your stateroom bill at the end of the cruise, so it is still easy to get it done without much thought.
You will see small envelopes addressed to each of your servers (Dining room server, Dining room assistant server, Dining room head server, Stateroom host) with their names on the last night of the cruise, so if you prepaid, you will have pre-made notes provided to put in there for them.
If you want to add an additional tip, feel free! My girls also draw pictures for the crew members as a special thank you! I have seen people bring gifts, write cards, etc, so if it moves you, be creative!
18% GRATUITY: If you have to pay an additional fee for a service not included in the cost of the cruise, there is a good chance the gratuities are not already added. Included in this list are: Spa Treatments, Alcoholic Beverages, Souvenirs, and Adult Only Dining not included in the Rotational Dining.
In the Stateroom Drawer
Door hang tags are located in your stateroom to put your room service breakfast selections and the time you want it delivered, so you can have breakfast in bed! Fill it out before 3am. There are also pens, paper, and complimentary postcards you can use to write letters or take notes!
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App
At Home Mode: Before you cruise, you can enter your reservation and begin counting down to departure!
Book activities in advance and take a deep dive to explore all that the ship has to offer.
On Board Mode: Once on board, see a map of the deck plan, daily itineraries, and a messaging app to keep in touch with your travel party at no cost to you!
Each person can customize their itinerary by favoriting events you are interested in, so you won’t miss a thing but you will not have to spend time scrolling through things that do not peak your interest.
Connect to Connect@Sea from the Navigator app and remember to keep your phone in Airplane Mode to avoid roaming and cellular data charges!
Connect @ Sea
Note: There is no cost to join DCL-GUEST Wi-fi to use the Navigator app, but you can get better access at a premium cost. You pay per device, so check out the prices to add another device. It will not be the full price doubled, but there is an upcharge.
Stay Connected (Basic Services like messaging and scrolling): $12 for 24 hours only or $10/day for the whole cruise.
Basic Surf (Check email, Social Media, Send photos/videos): $24 for 24 hours only or $20/day for the whole cruise.

Stateroom Hosts
Each stateroom has a host, so let them know if you need anything! They will come to your room at the start of the cruise to understand your needs and let you know how often they will check the room. They also do turn down service every night with special surprises!
Important Reminders
Each Stateroom must have, at least, one adult listed. There are handicap accessible staterooms in every room type as well! Staterooms are different on each ship, so be sure to check out each ship guide to see what all it has to offer!
Forward is what crew members use to refer to the front of the ship.
Forward is also the roughest when it comes to movement, so if you are prone to motion sickness, stick to midship!
This is the best place to have your stateroom if you are prone to seasickness because the middle moves less than the front and back of the ship, especially on the lower decks.
Mid-Ship is also the hub for all activities on the ship, so this area, including the elevators, will be the most crowded! This is perfect for someone who loves meeting new friends, but not the best if you want more privacy and quiet.
Aft is what crew members use to refer to the back of the ship.
The aft of the ship is not as rough as the front, but it is not as calm as mid-ship.
Port is the left side of the ship.
You can remember this with this little trick: Port has 4 letters, and so does left, so you will be able to remember port is left and starboard is right! If your stateroom is on port side, you will see the ports and islands when the ship pulls in.
Starboard is the right side of the ship.
The starboard side will face the beaches when docked at Castaway Cay!
The Starboard side is also the side where the fireworks are launched, so stand on port side if you want to see them better.
The lido deck is the top floor of the cruise ship.
It contains outdoor sections as well as indoor and coverings over some of the outdoor sections.
