My Favorites
Toy Story Land
With oversized toys all around, you will feel like a toy yourself! Look for Woody, Buzz, Jesse, and Bullseye, and if you see some Army Men, yell “Andy’s Coming!” and watch them all turn back into toys! This immersive land is so well done and has some of the best rides! Slinky Dog is a roller coaster with a fun twist because there is a spring in the middle, so you can experience it differently! Alien Swirling Saucers is a spinning ride that is more of a carnival attraction, and Toy Story Mania is a competitive shooting arcade game unlike anything you have done before! Toy Story Land is completely perfect in every way.
Galaxy's Edge
One of the most immersive lands in all of the Disney parks! You will feel like you stepped into another galaxy. Both of these attractions are completely immersive and so well done. Every little detail is perfect, down to the design of the trash bins! There is nothing like Rise of the Resistance! It is completely immersive and includes walking immersion, a ride on a ship, and a trackless ride with character interactions and real action! Smuggler’s Run feels like a real ride on the Millenium Falcon, and you get to choose which job you have on the ship (Pilot, Engineer, and Gunner).
Sunset Blvd
Sunset Blvd is the area to the right of Hollywood Studios when you come in, and it has two of the most thrilling rides in all of Walt Disney World! There are also fun shops as well as places to get quick bites and delicious treats! Tower of Terror is a drop ride, but you never know when you will go up or down, so it is a different ride every time you go, and the story is really fun! Rock n Roller Coaster is one of the most intense coaster’s for Disney with a high speed take off, loops, and intensity. It is quick but a lot of fun! Beauty and the Beast Live is Broadway caliber, and the Racing Academy is a cute show based on the characters of Cars.
Echo Lake
Echo Lake is an actual lake, and it encompasses the attractions around that area. It is inspired by Echo Lake in California, so you definitely get that Disneyland nod here. There is so much to see in this area, so plan some time for it! Star Tours is a motion simulator that takes you in a Star Wars ship through adventure, and there are several stories, so each is different! The Frozen Sing Along is absolutely delightful and full of humor and your favorite characters! Indiana Jones is a stunt show, and it is sure to impress, and Vacation Fun is a short animated film the kids will enjoy!
Animation Courtyard
This used to be the area of the actual working studios, but it has since been revamped to incorporate a space for Disney Junior characters and a museum of sorts for Walt Disney! The gallery shows his journey, and it is a must see! It will inspire you just being close to his imagination through artifacts.
Hollywood Boulevard
The Chinese theater is one of the first things you will see when visiting Hollywood Studios! Formerly, this was the home of The Great Movie Ride, but it now houses the Great Mickey Mouse and his pals! Step into this theatrical production, and become part of the story! Runaway Railway is a trackless masterpiece and completely delightful.
Grand Avenue
This vintage inspired area includes the Muppets Courtyard and the Muppet Vision 3D show and will make you feel like you stepped back in time to downtown LA. Although a bit secluded, it is a good place to stop to rest or enjoy some bites at Baseline Tap House right around the corner!
